Schools work.
The West Patch offers a wide variety of both formal and informal
works to schools in the area.
We
have a good working partnership with Penwortham Girls` High
school and Priory Technical College. We also work with Hutton
Grammar School.
The
range and scope of work fits and supports the P.S.H.E curriculum.
Drugs awareness, sexual health, teenage pregnancy, rights and
responsibilities, citizenship, democracy and decision making
are all topics we cover.
We also look at issues around human rights, the environment,
race awareness and advice and information. We work in an outreach
role two lunchtimes a week in the local schools. This gives
the west patch team the opportunity of working with a wide range
and of young people from our patch areas, as well as the valuable
contacts of staff and other agencies we work with at the schools
