About Cheryl King Counselling

Cheryl has broad experience of counselling a wide range of people of all ages, on both a short term and long term basis. She has worked full-time in private practice since 2009 working with both private clients and EAPs. Previously Cheryl worked part-time in education where she counselled children, young people and staff. She has also had broad experience working for a number of organisations including a local hospice, and holds a current enhanced DBS certificate. Cheryl offers person-centred, integrative and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) counselling.

Cheryl is also an experienced counselling supervisor who clinically supervises the work of other counsellors and healthcare professionals. She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision, among other relevant qualifications.
